An evening of Tap Dance and All that Jazz with Mr. Louiz Banks and Mr. Rahul D'lima!
What: International Jazz Festival, Open to public
Where: NCPA, Nariman Point
When: 7pm, 30th April 2017

TR Dance Company was founded in 2009, with the foundation of love and creativity by Tanushree Dhaundiyal and Rahul D'lima. It is a place where artists meet, to create, explore, improve and innovate. Today they have a team of 7 beautifully trained instructors who are just as passionate about doing great quality work as they are.
They have been spreading knowledge and have provided brilliant dance training for kids and adults in Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary and have helped them in becoming the dancers that they hide within themselves.

This International Jazz Festival TRDC will be performing with the legendary Mr. Louiz Banks (of the 'Mile sur mera tumhara fame'). He has been spearheading the Jazz movement in India since three decades and has brought to us a high standard of Jazz performances. This year is the fifth edition of the Jazz festival and there will be over 20 artists performing in a span of three hours. These artists include Gary Lawyer, Sanjay Divecha, Gino Banks, Sheldon D`Silva, Samantha Edwards, just to name a few.
TRDC's Artistic Director Mr. Rahul D'lima will be doing a classic Tap dance 'jugaldbandi' with the jazz legend, live on stage. In this he will be accompanied by the phenomenal Jazz dancers of TRDC to bring in the flavour of the jazz era that began almost a century ago in the social get-togethers in New Orleans.
Tap dance is a relatively untouched dance form in India and Mr. Rahul D'lima is spearheading this movement to spread the art form and the culture that gave birth to social dancing in the States. The jazz choreography is influenced by the great pioneers of Jazz movement such as Gus Giordano Bob Fosse and Luiji, while the tap dance will leave you tapping your feet and 'Singing in the rain' like the famous Gene Kelly. The fun the team is going to have on stage makes this collaboration a showstopper and a 'cannot be missed' moment for all art lovers!
With a live band and the classy, tight dance performance, this event promises to leave the audience enthralled and content with their plans for the evening. Do not miss this if classical Jazz music and Jazz dancing is your thing!
