This is a 4 week training programme; which will be held thrice a week, with a total of 24 hours of training.
Timings: 11 am - 1 pm.
Fee: Rs. 5,000 (First five registrations) & Rs. 6,000.
1. Basics of Odissi dance with all footwork and hand-movements in Chowka and Tribhanga.
2. Through the course you will also learn a choreography for a Mangalacharan.
3. The training will end in a showcase.
About Pallavi Das:
Pallavi Das being the Grand Daughter of the Legendry Guru, the doyen of odissi dance Adi Guru Late Padmashree Pankaj Charan Das, has been devotee of this art form from her childhood, during which she has performed extensively representing it at the state and national front. Pallavi born in the traditional mahari family attached with the service of Lord Jagannath at Puri. She was initiated to learn odissi dance at the age of 7 by inspiration of her grand father and started grasping the beauty and intricacies of Odissi and expressive it through her creative style.
In 2006 she got accepted in Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre as internee and later she upgraded as repertory upto 2012. She also got selected for senior national scholarship in odissi dance by govt. of india ministry of culture, new delhi, under one of the senior disciple of Adi Guruji, Guru Kanduri Charan Behera.
Pallavi Das Mohanty is a promising Dancer with an inherent talent of mahari gharana, she has been excelling in her graceful body movement, elegant expression and intricate foot work.
