SNDA's 10th year anniversary celebration's grand finale event named, Tridha - A Triple Bill Evening Tridha - A 90-minute evening will consist of three contemporary dance productions. A short brief on each production: Dhrut - A dialogue of Past, Present, Future and Time with a synchrony of rhythm, speed and space. Dhrut has traveled all over India and even New York. The critics lauded it as 'Fluid and Fabulous' - Mid-day; 'Captivated from the word GO' - Dr. Sunil Kothari; 'An Impeccable Imagery' - The Statesman. Dashanan (premiere) - Sumeet's solo performance choreographed for the first time by his Martha Graham Dance School teacher/choreographer Steve Rooks. Inspired by Ravana, the performance is a hypnosis of an Anti-Hero in hindsight not just Mythologically but in present times. Sumeet's last solo 'Talkative Dancer' was tagged as 'Poetic and Philosophical' by Dance Critic Leela Venkataraman and traveled many cities of Europe, America and India. Trishna - This Production received a standing ovation by almost 3000 pupils in the audience at the closing ceremony of Kala-Ghoda Arts Festival. Its not a delve at women in society today but is inspired by the statement - 'how women in a large section of the Indian Society are looked at?'. Its scenic interpretation is inspired by real life instances of a domestic helper and her husband (name undisclosed on request). 'I empathised with myself and realised what I have been through'- An abuse victim's statement after watching Trishna.
